fauntlee whole house remodel
This 1950s with good bones suffered from an uninviting entry with a monolithic fireplace chimney, too-steep concrete steps and an interior plan that was cramped and dark. The new design added bedroom space at both floors where that fireplace was, raised the ceiling in part of the main floor and completely reconfigured and opened up the floor plans on both floors. The result is an elegant, contemporary home filled with light and lots of art, including a steel piece that featured as part of the entry floor. Remodeling the carport at the front of the home into a steel and Ipe structure with a green roof makes the transformation complete. Completed in 2019.
